Heating Systems Application Engineer (JB1321)
Location: Benoni, Johannesburg
Salary: R500 - 600 000 per annum, cost to company including Pension Fund, Medical Aid, Disabiity Benefit, Life Cover and Family Protector.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30, Friday: 07:30 - 13:00
 
Kontak Recruitment is currently sourcing a Applications Engineer with experience in heating systems.  The ideal candidate would have a minimum of an Engineering degree, with strong mathematical skills to be able to calculate complex conversions including electrical and heat energy calculations.

Determining requirements of heating applications (heat energy that is needed and how it should be applied to meet the process outcome)
Considering known methods of heating and determining which best meets the customer’s application requirements
Designing heating systems for existing and new applications (including heat generation, measurement, control and insulation)
Compiling bills of materials for heating systems and assisting sales in determining the cost and the appropriate selling price
Producing the master job card, drawing, quality control documents and other associated information necessary for the manufacture of heating systems
Assisting the production team with the correct interpretation and implementation of job cards, drawings, quality control documents and other associated information.
Performing research on heating systems (generation, control and protection against heat) and related processes in order to continuously enhance the Company’s know-how and reputation
Compiling and executing quality control plans for the general manufacturing process and selected specific projects
Compiling data books, datasheets and manuals for manufactured products
Assuming responsibility for technical sales inquiries including direct contact with customers for selected projects.
Presenting solutions to customers for selected projects (sales and technical presentation).
 
Education & experience required
A degree in Engineering at a recognized University
Skilled in CAD (PTC Creo Parametric experience is beneficial but not a prerequisite)
Skilled in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Word
5 years+ working experience
