R50 000 per month plus benefits
 
A large provider of Medical Aid & Health Cover based in Benoni are currently looking for an experienced IT Manager to employ as soon as possible. Must stay within the Eastrand or close by areas
Salary – R50 000 per month plus benefits (medical insurance – company contribution is 50% if candidate does not have medical aid, group life cover – in case of death, disability and dread disease, & 5 cubed investment which is similar to a provident fund).
 
Job Summary
The IT manager will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. You will supervise the implementation and maintenance of the company’s computing needs.
 
Requirements:
Matric
Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
IT infrastructure and Software Development Life Cycle
Relevant project management qualification or certification, such as PMP
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management or Team Lead role.
Experience managing Software Development and IT Infrastructure related projects
Knowledge of Agile Methodologies
 
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Manage information technology and computer systems.
Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, and appraising their performance.
Liaising with stakeholders to draw up project plans.
Vendor and supplier Management
Inventory management and asset tracking
Create/Amend/Approve policies
Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
Prepare the IT team for changes and act as a change agent within the organization.
