A Cape Town based company well known for its Culinary delights is looking for a dedicated, professional, flexible and hardworking, Group Operations And Beverage Manager to join their team.
Minimum Requirements:
Matric
Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field
5 to 6 years Group Operations Management and Beverage experience
Experienced in budgeting and forecasting
Leadership ability
Excellent communication skills
Outstanding organisational skills
Experience working with Chefs, menu costings and updates
Experience working on and with websites and Social Media
Experienced in working with daily cash ups
Experienced in cost control
Experienced in marketing and sales promotions
Experienced in Point-of-Sale Accounting and Reconciliation
Experienced in Point-of-Sale Reporting
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with suppliers for all stores
Work closely with chefs and managers, re menu updates and costings / assist where necessary
Update menus for print – Check quality of menus in stores on a regular basis
Look at invoicing / prices and compare to costings - sit with relevant parties to update pricing to ensure website and socials are updated too.
Compiling all maintenance issues for the operations manager
Checking for renewal certificates (Liquor Licenses / Business Licenses, COA’s)
Working with the IT Department for websites and social media platforms
Monitoring daily cash up reports
Collecting all customer complaints on email or social media and forwarding them to operations – Deal with urgent complaints and acknowledge receipt thereof
Making sure stores are adhering to all hygiene standards and making sure we receive our store assessments every month
Checking of emails and setting up appointments where necessary for operations and beverage
Liaise with contract on suppliers re sock deals and promotions etc
Ensure uniforms are done and distributed accordingly
Spend time instore with staff to ensure flow is constantly checked. Adjust for requirements
Plan the month in advance - events happening and road closures etc
Cover mangers on off days where necessary and if need be
Meet with suppliers and promoters to plan the year ahead regarding deals
Monitor and take corrective action as necessary to help ensure that beverage costs are attained
Ensure staff are delivering exceptional customer service and maintain high beverage and service standards
Ensure that all standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control are consistently utilised
Help plan external and internal marketing and sales promotion activities
Assist with the development of wine sales promotion programs
Assist with staff recruitment
Ensure correct handling procedures to minimise China and Glassware breakage and beverage waste
Responsible for the proper accounting and reconciliation of Point of Sales Systems and revenues
Assist with daily, weekly, and month-end inventory
Maintain company standard beverage costs of all outlets
Consolidate weekly and monthly beverage figures
Monitor and investigate fluctuations and variances
Follow up on training for staff with wine supplier / contact where necessary
Ensure targets are set and incentives are run throughout the year
Nurture relationships as we always have (SAB / DISTELL / PERNOD especially
Work 6 days a week all hours when restaurants are trading
