Production Planner / Assistant to the Production Manager (JB2771)
Area: Diep River moving to Paarden Island (Cape Town)
Salary: R10 000.00 to R15 000.00 a month  
Benefits: Contribution towards Provident Fund
Duration: Permanent

Overview
A well-established Company that is a manufacturer of high quality 4x4/SUV seat covers and supplier to many OEM vehicle manufacturers internationally is looking for a dedicated Production Planner to join their dynamic Team. From humble beginnings they now supply the products needed for their clients to protect their vehicles seats, dashboards, transmissions and more, their products are tailor made for vehicles.

Minimum Requirements:
Experience: Several years of experience in a similar role, in a textile manufacturing or related industry. Experience in textile production, is also beneficial.
Education: Minimum matric with experience and training in a related field
Specialized Skills: Knowledge of textile production processes, as well as experience with quality control and production planning, are important skills for this role.
Other Requirements: Familiarity with textile industry standards, regulations and safety requirements are important.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer software related to production and inventory management. Knowledge of the Syspro ERP software would be advantageous
 
Duties and Responsibilities 
Plan and schedule all production with relevant timeline.
Data capture
Organise team and equipment to meet the requirements of the production schedule
Check if all fabric/materials and consumables are available
Check to see if all equipment required for production are working correctly.
Monitoring the production.  Output continuously with Production Managers/Supervisors
Ensure that the production output is recorded on required production documents and visual board where relevant
Follow up on production problems where production managers/supervisors cannot solve it on the line and implement corrective action immediately.
