We are seeking an accomplished Admissions and Selections Academic Manager to lead the Admissions and Selections Department, ensuring the effective implementation of academic functions. Your role will play a pivotal part in selecting prospective students based on regulations and the institution's admission criteria, both nationally and internationally, thereby advancing the strategic objectives of the organization.
As the Admissions and Selections Academic Manager, you will oversee the achievement of the Admissions and Selections Department's main objectives. Your responsibilities encompass monitoring academic operations, guiding the selection of students, and contributing to the institution's strategic goals.
Qualifications:
Doctorate or progress towards a Doctorate (Preferred).
Experience:
Minimum of 8-10 years of academic work experience in a higher education institution, including at least 5 years in a management role (Essential).
More than 10 years of academic work experience in a higher education institution (Preferred).
Strong academic specialization focus in relevant faculty areas.
Demonstrated proficiency in Academic Operational Management.
Experience in designing, developing, and accrediting new programmes.
Ability to formulate policies and develop and implement new strategies and procedures.
Thorough knowledge of Education and Training legislative frameworks.
Familiarity with regulatory affairs and academic quality assurance processes in higher education.
Proven teaching, research, curriculum development, and assessment design experience.
Strong skills in risk management, communication, and business acumen.
High competency in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
General:
Willingness to work overtime when necessary.

Management and Administration:
Lead the Directorate with a focus on quality and regulatory compliance across structures, policies, and processes.
Manage and quality assure formal processes related to admissions and selections.
Oversee the digitalization initiatives within the Department.
Stay updated on changes in education legislation and policy.
Admissions and Selections:
Ensure intake targets are met and adherence to turnaround times.
Supervise Recognition of Prior Learning processes.
Oversee Credit Accumulation and Transfer processes.
Identify, monitor, and evaluate relevant statistics.
Regulatory Bodies:
Prepare for and attend site visits as required.
Contribute to regulatory body and institutional Quality Assurance Framework activities.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and the focus areas of the Instructional Audit Framework.
