This position is ideally suited to a retail representative with experience in external sales in the hardware or DIY sector.
The company is seeking an energetic, dynamic, and outgoing individual to join the team as a retail representative. As a key member, you will play a crucial role in expanding their market presence, engaging with clients, and contributing to the growth of the organisation. The company is looking for someone with a passion for sales. This person would also need to be happy to travel extensively to the different store locations for marketing.
Minimum Requirements:
Drivers license and own vehicle
Experience with retailers that focus on hardware or DIY products (beneficial)
Duties:
Build and maintain strong relationships with store buyers and personnel.
Act as the primary point of contact for retailers to address inquiries, orders, and concerns.
Keep retailers informed about product updates, promotions, and stock availability.
Merchandising:
Ensure prominent display of all company products in stores.
Regularly inspect and maintain demo stands for correct placement and condition.
Identify opportunities for new demo stands or promotional displays to maximize visibility.
Administrative Duties:
Log all customer interactions, orders, and feedback in the company's CRM system.
Prepare and provide quotations to retailers as needed.
Generate and submit regular reports to the management team on market trends, competitor activities, and retailer feedback.
Weekly feedback and reports.
Minimum monthly visits (KPI’s).
Store Promotional Days:
Participate in store promotional events, potentially on weekends.
Collaborate with store personnel to set up promotional displays and engage customers effectively.
Ensure successful execution of promotional activities and gather feedback for analysis.
Travel and Territory Management:
Travel across Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Free State, and North West for regular retailer visits.
Efficiently plan and manage travel schedules to cover all assigned retailers.
Product Knowledge:
Stay up-to-date on the company's product offerings and industry trends.
Be prepared to answer retailer and customer questions regarding product features and benefits.
Training at Retail Stores:
Provide training sessions at retail stores to enhance staff knowledge and sales skills.
