Finance Specialist (JB3031)
Remote, for applicants living in South Africa        
R30 – 50 000 per month
Independent Contractor

As the Finance Specialist you will be responsible for managing full function accounting for SMME’s in the UK and US market. In addition, you will manage a team of Junior Finance Professionals who will support you in ensuring that outputs are achieved.  

The ideal candidate should have a knowledge sharing mindset, able to train and grow their teams skills as well as expand their knowledge in key financial aspects of markets outside of South Africa. 

This role is a fully remote position, but as the company does not have an entity in South Africa, individuals will be hired in an Independent Contractor capacity, with ongoing contract renewals.  

Minimum Requirements:
Experience in managing a team
Experience in managing a portfolio of clients
Experience in providing excellent customer service
Solid bookkeeping & accounting knowledge and experience
Ability to adapt a modern approach to accountancy through the support of technology
Advanced knowledge of Xero

Duties and Responsibilities: 
Lead, Coach & Mentor a team of Junior Finance Professionals
Responsible for a portfolio of clients
Responsible for all accounting tasks including: annual filings, balance sheet reconciliations etc.
Adhering to all SLA’s with client delivery
Ensure data quality implemented by Junior Finance Professional is in line with company standards
Review and improve new ways of working and automation(s), keeping the client in mind
Manage customer communication and build relationships
Delivering exceptional customer service
