Are you an experienced and skilled network professional seeking a new challenge? Our client, a leading managed services IT company, is on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Network Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end-user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing server management tasks, including domains, exchange, active directory, file, print, and storage. The ideal candidate for this role should have a minimum of 5 years of overall experience, with 2-5 years of specific expertise in designing and implementing firewalling solutions. Furthermore, an above-to-expert level knowledge and hands-on experience with SonicWall and Fortinet firewalls are highly desirable

Minimum Requirements:
5+ years of equivalent work experience
2-5 years of experience in designing and implementing firewalling solutions
Advanced-to-Expert level knowledge and hands-on experience with SonicWall and Fortinet Firewalls
Beneficial knowledge includes SonicWall, Fortigate Firewalls, Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus Switches, Networking/VLANs, and Ruckus/Aruba/Ubiquiti wireless networks
SNSA (SonicWall Network Security Administrator) with a willingness to achieve SNSP (SonicWall Network Security Professional)
Fortinet NSE3 required; willingness to achieve NSE4+ certifications
Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows and Linux server hardware and associated network equipment
Familiarity with TCP/IP and other network protocols, firewall management, and operating system configuration
Mid- to senior-level knowledge and experience in switching and routing
General knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN or NAS, as well as Active Directory/Global Catalogue
Good understanding of the ITIL Framework and ITSM Systems
Expertise in incident management, problem management, resolving service requests, and applying change management when necessary
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including but not limited to Office 365, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Hyper-V

Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide technical support remotely and be willing to do shift work
Be a problem solver – show initiative, professionalism, be a good communicator, be a quick learner.
Perform Server Management (Domain, Exchange, AD, File, Print, and Storage) as and when required.
Good network understanding – ability to work with Netgear, Cisco, Ruckus, Aruba etc. Assist with network design and capacity planning, including setting up of vlans and other network configurations.
Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices
Assist with strategies for client/server implementations; and the infrastructure required to support those strategies.
Assist with new server systems, applications, and hardware.
Implement policies, procedures, and technologies (including firewalls) to ensure IT Security.
Plan and implement server upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches.
Provide VoIP and ISP support
Recommend and execute modifications to server environment in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
Develop and maintain server and network documentation as and when required.
Administer equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
Analyse / review processes and operating procedures and provide innovative feedback and recommendations.
