Are you an experienced Study Coordinator looking to be part of an exciting women's health research program? We are assisting our client is finding an experienced Study Coordinator who will assist in the implementation of clinical research projects. As a vital member of the research initiative, you'll be engaged in various aspects of the program., from participant recruitment, informed consent, and screening to enrolling participants. Additionally, you will supervise Research Nurses, Research Assistants, Laboratory Assistants, and clinic-based recruiters.

The ideal candidate will hold a registered SANC Professional Nurse (or similar) qualification and possess at least five years of experience providing clinical care, preferably in women’s reproductive health services.


Minimum Requirements:
At least three years of experience coordinating clinical research
At least five years of experience providing clinical care, preferably women’s sexual and reproductive health services (e.g., Pap smear screening, STI screening, family planning)
Experience managing research staff
Spoken and written fluency in English and isiZulu or Sesotho
Training in good clinical practice
Clinical experience providing women’s sexual and reproductive health services (e.g., Pap smear screening, STI screening, family planning)
Willingness to work overtime/weekends

Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day implementation of clinical research projects under the guidance of the relevant PIs and investigators
Assist with the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other study tools
Assist with the preparation of regulatory submissions to ethics committees and other regulatory agencies, as needed
Coordinate all aspects of participant recruitment, informed consent, screening, enrollment, and retention
Coordinate all aspects of specimen collection, testing, and results reporting
Assist with all aspects of data collection, quality control, reporting and storage
Participate in hiring and training of research staff
Supervise research nurses, research assistants, laboratory assistants, and clinic-based recruiters
Oversee procurement and inventory management for the study clinic
Prepare research-related reports/presentations, as requested
