Are you a wiz when it comes to specialist doctor billing codes? Then this could be the ideal role for you!

As the Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for patient data capture and billing for a diverse range of medical specialists using NRPL and ICD10 codes. You will advise doctors on billing practices, optimise billing processes, and handle receipt distribution.

Requirements:
Code knowledge specific to specialist Doctors (e.g. surgeon, Urologist, Psychologist etc.)
Excellent communication skills
Detail orientated

Duties:
Efficiently record and manage patient information.
Bill patients for different specialist doctors using NRPL coding.
Expert knowledge of NRPL codes and ICD10 codes for all specialists, allied health professionals, and general practitioners.
Familiarity with codes that can be billed in combination.
Advise doctors on appropriate billing based on codes.
Handle the receipt and distribution of billing documents.
Improve and streamline billing processes for efficiency.
Understand and apply various medical aid agreements.
Maintain meticulous attention to detail and accurate data capturing.
Address and resolve billing-related queries.
Rebilling when necessary.
Conduct pre-posting audits on billing for accuracy.
Maintain records of outstanding practice queries.
Stay updated on new billing rules in the healthcare industry.
Adhere to the SAMA billing guide.
Evaluate workflows for effectiveness.
Supervise billing activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
