Outsystems Developer (JB277)
Kyalami
R60 000 – R65 000 per month
 
The OutSystems Developer will be responsible for the core development of OutSystems web and mobile applications in a fast-paced environment using Agile methodology.
 
 
Education
Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
 
Job related Information:

Job Specific Requirements:
Job objectives and work activities
Develop, deploy, manage and change solution features following OutSystems development best practices, ensuring solution performance and user adoption
Develop integrations with external systems according to the defined architecture guidelines
Finish all assigned tasks with quality within the defined timeframe
Conducts unit testing and integration testing, executing the necessary bug fixing
Develop new user and consumer-facing features
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Optimise application for maximum speed and scalability
Application development and design follows development best practices according to the Outsystems code patterns
Ability to troubleshoot and optimise application performance
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Any other related duties as required by the GM: IT and/or IT Architect/Applications manager.
 
Job Knowledge
Sound working knowledge in (but not limited too):
HTML5
CSS3
OutSystems - Development Platform, Architecture and Code patterns as well as the Forge repository
SQL & MongoDB
Kubernetes & Docker
C#, .Net, Java
Full-stack development
Management Information Systems (MIS)
Programming
Systems design
Database design
 
 
Knowledge of DevOps principles and methodologies
Knowledge of Agile methodologies
Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins and the OutSystems deployment framework.
Organisational structure and functioning.
Codes, policies, regulations and procedures related to the company.
 
 
Job Experience
OutSystems development experience is non-negotiable
Must have worked and implemented OutSystems platform for last 3+ years
Experience in OutSystems platform development
Strong database knowledge SQL & MongoDB - need to be able to design databases
Programming language experience in either .Net/C#/Java
Agile and Scrum methodologies
Be able to build management information systems
All-rounder development and systems design skills
Able to manage third party suppliers
Advantageous:
Digital agency experience
OutSystems development experience and certifications
Agile development methodology
