Plant Maintenance Artisan (JB4914)
Malmesbury, Western Cape 
R18 000  CTC per month

Our client, a well-established leader in the meat industry, recognized for their commitment to quality and operational excellence, is seeking a Plant Maintenance Artisan operator to join their team. 
 
The Plant Maintenance Artisan is responsible for general maintenance of the facility, ensuring all equipment and systems are maintained to the highest standards. This includes both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maintaining operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a skilled professional with expertise in electrical and mechanical maintenance and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
 
Minimum Requirements: 
Matric 
Valid driver's license and own vehicle 
Millwright or electrician trade test certificate
3 - 5 years technical experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance 
Experience in piping, plumbing, and refrigeration systems 
Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety Act
Understanding of food and safety standards 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
Accurately complete and submit job cards for all maintenance activities.
Prioritize and manage maintenance tasks effectively to ensure quick turnaround times.
Conduct inspections and complete maintenance check sheets accurately and promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of all maintenance areas to uphold company standards.
Take ownership of the designated facility, ensuring compliance with company standards.
Monitor and report any deviations from company policies and procedures.
Avoid rework by delivering quality results the first time.
Ensure equipment remains leak-free (oil, water, and compressed air).
Be available to work overtime as required to meet operational demands.
Participate in the standby roster and respond promptly to callouts.
Complete standby forms with accurate details of activities performed.
Adhere to and enforce safety, health, environmental, and quality (SHEQ) standards in all tasks.
