Desktop Support Technician (JB3025)
North Riding, Johannesburg (Office Based)
R15 000 – R18 000 CTC per month
Duration: 12-month Contract

Overview
Outsourced IT support provider requires an experienced Desktop Support Technician.
You will be working with team members based globally by providing support to internationally based clients.
 
Minimum Requirements:
Completed and relevant IT certifications/ qualifications
2 or more years’ experience within a Desktop Support role
Previous experience providing technical support specific to Mac; iOS; Android, Windows and Microsoft
Broad experience of IT with an understanding of Networks, Servers, Audio/Visual, Smart Devices and Telecoms
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide first and second level contact and problem resolution for customer issues.
Work with vendors to remediate complex AV issues
Maintain ticket updates for all reported incidents
Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 365, Cisco Jabber, another authorized desktop application.
Should have basic knowledge of Mac operating system, to support Apple pc users.
Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot for printers, computer hardware.
Performs general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers.
Performs remedial repairs on Desktops, laptops, printers and any other authorized peripheral equipment.
Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity, and workstation hardware/software
