We are seeking an Electrical Dispatch clerk with electronic or electrical qualifications. This is an entry level position offering growth to someone that is interested in pursuing a career in electronics. The successful candidate will be responsible for the dispatch and receiving of equipment, additionally the role will involve assisting the senior repairs technicians with small calibrations and repairs with the aim being to grow the successful candidate into a full time repairs technician.
Minimum Requirements:
Electronic or Electrical Diploma or Degree
1 -2 years working experience within a Dispatch role
Basic SAP experience
Familiarity with the Quality Management system
Valid Driver's License (minimum code 10)
Valid PDP License is advantageous
Good customer relations skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive all deliveries and check incoming equipment and spares against the supplier's delivery notes.
Label new equipment/spares, complete packaging checklists, change plugs if needed, and store items in the correct location.
Submit all delivery documentation to Accounts within 24 hours of receiving the items.
Fill out a delivery/collection slip for each item received, collected, or dispatched.
Clean and tag repair units/equipment with the job number and client name.
Create and complete job cards for repairs or calibration, ensuring client information is accurate.
Hand over job cards and equipment to the Repairs technician or other relevant departments.
If a repair is waiting for parts or purchase orders, store the equipment until ready to continue the repair process.
Assisting the senior repairs technicians with small calibrations and repairs
Once repairs or calibrations are done, obtain an invoice and inform the client their equipment is ready for collection.
Package new equipment for shipping locally or internationally.
Assist with deliveries and collections of equipment.
Complete export documentation for job cards, new equipment, and spare parts.
Contact couriers for sending repaired items back to clients.
Conduct weekly and monthly stock checks, resolving any discrepancies.
Keep repair items safe in the delivery and dispatch area.
Verify the status of ongoing repairs monthly.
Ensure that trailers and vans with equipment repairs are locked daily.
Communicate with clients about equipment collection or delivery.
Perform additional tasks as needed.
