Retail Store Manager (JB4014)
Randburg, Johannesburg
R18 000 - R 20 000, plus commission and incentives
Duration: Permanent

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our client's new branch in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to oversee day-to-day operations. The Store Manager will be responsible for managing staff, handling customer sales and inquiries, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the store.

Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience in retail management with a focus on customer service.
Proficiency in POS systems, particularly Pastel.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work weekdays and Saturdays within the specified hours.
Computer literate with a willingness to learn new systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:
People Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring a positive and efficient working environment.
Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
Foster a culture of teamwork, motivation, and high standards of customer service.
Front-Facing Retail:
Greet and assist customers, providing excellent service and addressing any concerns.
Ensure the store is well-presented, clean, and organized to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Oversee merchandising and product displays to maximize sales.
Stock Management:
Collaborate with Cape Town headquarters for stock management and replenishment.
Implement labeling systems and ensure accurate checking and receiving of stock.
Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock audits.
Store Operations:
Utilize POS system (Pastel) proficiently for transactions and reporting.
Implement and maintain operational policies and procedures.
Collaborate with Cape Town for overall store management and strategic planning.
Customer Sales and Inquiries:
Assist customers with product information, purchases, and inquiries.
Resolve customer complaints and ensure a positive shopping experience.
Analyze sales trends and recommend strategies for increased profitability.
