Our client, a leading MSP, is looking for a skilled and competent Third Line IT Engineer to join their busy team. You'll be responsible for maintaining network and system efficiency, developing comprehensive solution architectures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of working in an MSP and a proven record of providing advanced technical support in an IT environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, Security+, and AWS/Azure/VMware, are highly valued.

Minimum Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7+ years of technical experience in IT, with a proven track record in IT infrastructure.
5+ years of experience in the managed service provider (MSP) space.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Broad knowledge of cloud platforms, cybersecurity best practices, and IT governance frameworks.
Relevant certifications such as ITIL/COBIT, CAPM/PMP, Security+/CISSP, Fortinet, Microsoft, AWS/Azure/VMware certifications, etc., are a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Installing and configuring relevant equipment and software
Monitoring and identifying relevant hardware, software and service issues.
Troubleshooting and resolving relevant hardware, software and service issues
Improving and optimising daily support and maintenance tasks
Self-development in relevant certifications and/or courses
Designing and implementing new technology solutions
Maintaining and improving the efficiency of current networks and systems.
Consideration and creation of contingency plans for relevant tasks
Designing, implementing, and maintaining the security of all ICT systems
Mentor and lead a team of technical professionals, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Assisting with the development of comprehensive solution architectures that leverage IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and telecommunications to address business challenges.
Overseeing the successful delivery of complex IT projects for clients, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Attending to installations and service requests within agreed times
Taking users through a series of actions, either in-person or remotely to help set up systems or resolve issues.
Attending to level-1 and -2 escalations in a timeous manner
Mentoring and supporting team members where possible
Assist with the implementation of cybersecurity strategies to protect client data and systems
Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in cloud infrastructure and telecommunications, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Evaluate and recommend cloud solutions that align with client needs and organizational goals.
