Junior Security Analyst (JB3964)

Are you passionate about cybersecurity, and eager to contribute to the security of our client’s Managed IT, Cloud, and Security Services organization?

We are looking for a committed Junior Security Analyst who will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining security measures to safeguard information systems and data assets.
The ideal candidate 5 years of experience in infrastructure and support with at least 1 year of experience in security operations, focusing on incident response and security monitoring.

Minimum Requirements:
Non -Negotiable Microsoft Certifications: AZ-900 (A Must), SC-200
Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA, CEH, or GIAC, and firewall and networking certifications are advantageous
Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure and support with at least 1 year of experience in security operations, focusing on incident response and security monitoring.
At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft 365 stack and Azure.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud security and Azure platforms.
Experience with security tools and technologies is a plus.
Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and common attack methods.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor incoming event queues for potential security incidents using Azure Sentinel as per operational procedures.
Perform initial investigation and triage of potential incidents, escalating or closing incidents as applicable.
Utilize SOC tools for historical analysis purposes, including historical searches using Azure Sentinel Log Analytics.
Monitor the company's network and systems for security breaches and potential threats.
Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and controls.
Assist in investigating security incidents and incidents related to data breaches.
Provide support for security-related projects and initiatives.
Assist in maintaining security tools and systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software.
Document investigation results, ensuring relevant details are passed to Secondary Analysts for final event analysis.
