A privately held company operating in the distributed power and remote monitoring sector, serving the mobile telecommunications industry, is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance and Administration Officer. This is a vital role in supporting the finance department by assisting with various financial tasks and ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. The Team works under the guidance of senior accountants or financial managers and contribute to the overall financial health and integrity of the company.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field would be advantage.
Prior internship or entry-level experience in accounting or finance is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately handle financials
Duties and Responsibilities:
General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, and revenue entries.
Bookkeeping: Update and maintain accounting records and financial documents, ensuring they are properly organized and accessible.
Accounts Receivable/Payable: Help manage accounts receivable by processing customer invoices, recording receipts, and following up on outstanding payments. Accounts payable, processing supplier invoices, monthly reconciliations, loading of supplier payments and recipients on bank account (Full Debtors and Creditors function)
Bank Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements and identifying discrepancies between bank records and accounting records.
Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for internal and external stakeholders.
Auditing: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, company policies, and accounting standards.
Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
Travel arrangements, updating of travel report(local)
Ordering Office Supplies
Produce communication documents for suppliers and internal office communications (KYC)
Devise and maintain office filing system.
General management of office space
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Manage emails, letters, packages, phone calls and other forms of correspondence.
Other administrative tasks as required.
