A distributed power and remote monitoring company, in the mobile telecommunications industry is looking for a Logistics and Expediting Specialist, this role will play a key role in coordinating, expediting and optimizing the flow of goods and materials within the companies supply chain to their various customers across Africa. The position requires strong organisational skills, a high level of proactive communication and problem identification, attention to detail and a solid understanding of International Logistics and transportation processes

Minimum Requirements:
Being able to speak French / Arabic would be a major advantage
5 years proven work experience as a Logistics and Expediting Specialist or similar Role
Must have experience in international export and import shipping
Experienced in working in a hardware technology company ideally within the project based telecommunications and / or energy sector is a plus
Excellent communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
Sound understanding of working on ERP package Sage
Be able to manage stakeholders effectively

Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparing or obtaining all necessary documentation to facilitate exports and imports. This can include, but is not limited to, commercial invoices, packing lists, country-specific import or export forms, certificates of conformity and bills of lading
Stay updated on export and import regulations and best practises by conducting independent research, attending training and conferences, and maintaining communication with freight forwarders and relevant government agencies in the countries of export and import
Coordinating operational requirements to schedule and facilitate the movement of goods from source to destination. This involves working with closely with vendors, customers and freight forwarders to arrange cost effective and optimised road, sea or air freight services
Maintaining professional communication with vendors, customers and internal teams to execute logistical requirements and keep relevant stakeholders updated on delivery status
Expediting orders through proactive identification and resolution of potential delays along with regular communication with relevant stakeholders
Preparing reports for status updates and performance measures related to logistic activities these reports are intended for relevant stakeholders, including customers and senior management
