We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR/IR Practitioner to join our organization. As an HR/IR Practitioner, your primary responsibility will be to foster a stable and harmonious industrial relations environment within our company. You will play a crucial role in effectively implementing disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes. Additionally, you will be involved in various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations consultation, policy interpretation and application, performance and compensation management consultation, and talent management consultation.
Minimum Requirements:
Relevant qualification in Human Resources
3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist
Proficient knowledge of employment laws such as BCEA, LRA, EE, SDA, and Health and Safety regulations
Familiarity with lifecycle recruiting components, including sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, selling, and wage/salary trends
Exposure to a payroll system
Proficiency in MS Office
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage employee relations by handling warning letters, CCMA packs, AWOL letters, objections, counselling, and facilitating disciplinary and grievance processes
Conduct inductions and oversee performance management activities
Coordinate recruitment, selection, training, and development processes
Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate HR records
Build and maintain trust-based relationships with employees while meeting their needs effectively
Collaborate with business partners to address cross-functional tasks and resolve employee-related issues
Lead employee incident reviews and investigations, ensuring consistent adherence to processes and due diligence
Provide expert advice on workplace policies, procedures, and applicable legislation
Establish credibility with senior leaders and contribute to strategic decision-making
Identify and mitigate potential HR-related risks and issues
Conduct research to support advice and guidance provided to business groups
Monitor the implementation of HR initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives
Provide guidance to business groups during the planning process and assist in measuring success
