The Head of Faculty is responsible for full programme management for the portfolio of programmes in the faculty. This means accountability for programme development and curriculum reviews, assessment alignment and development, module material updates and prescribed textbook lists. The HoF is expected to ensure academic integrity and regulatory compliance of programmes and assessments offered by the respective sites, and assure that all programmes, programme factsheets and programme curriculum structures and assessments are aligned in accordance with regulatory requirements as well as ensure accreditation compliance.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
PhD or Doctorate required in the cognate subject field of faculty
At least five years at Senior Lecturer level or above in higher education
At least three years high-level Academic Management experience
A proven teaching and research portfolio with curriculum development and assessment design experience.
Experience in dealing with regulatory affairs and academic quality assurance processes within a higher education environment.

Student Support tracking and througput rates
Faculty academic staffing: approvals, development and research
Academic governance: policies and processes
Work integrated learning/workplace (WIL based learning)
Policies /Procedures and Accreditation
Teaching and learning
Academic staff capacity
Institutional planning, resource allocation and governance
Stakeholder surveys on the quality of provision
Benchmarking of standards
