Overview
Our client is a leading provider of Managed IT, Cloud, and Security Services. We are assisting them in finding a highly skilled Senior IT Technical Support Specialist to join their team.
 
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in supporting end-users, managing network infrastructure, implementing security controls, and overseeing IT projects.
 
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field is a plus.
Proven experience in a help desk or technical support role, with a strong understanding of Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills in relevant technologies and platforms.
In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies like Microsoft Hyper-V and Failover Clustering.
Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting and repair.
Knowledge of DELL server, notebook, and desktop systems.
Familiarity with hardware maintenance procedures and best practice.
Experience with backup systems like ArcServe, StorVault, and Veeam.
Understanding of data backup and recovery strategies.
Knowledge of data protection and disaster recovery concepts.
Expertise in LAN and WAN infrastructure management.
Knowledge of network cabling standards and practices.
Experience with DELL switching equipment.
Familiarity with Firewall management using SonicWALL and FortiGate.
Proficiency in configuring and managing wireless technologies, specifically Ruckus systems.
Knowledge of wireless networking protocols and security.
Understanding of optimizing wireless connectivity and troubleshooting.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 Suite (including Office 365) and Azure.
Experience in administering and managing Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
Understanding of Microsoft cloud services and technologies.
Experience with N-Central Network Monitoring Suite or similar network monitoring tools.
Knowledge of remote assistance, patch management, and antivirus management using monitoring tools.
Familiarity with IT infrastructure monitoring and management.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to end-users and assist with escalations, ensuring prompt and efficient issue resolution.
Manage VIP support, ensuring adherence to procedures and delivering exceptional service.
Oversee the network and IT infrastructure, including VM server management (MS Hyper-V & Failover Clustering) and DELL Storage SAN & VRTX.
Provide hardware support for servers, notebooks, and desktops (DELL).
Manage backup systems (ArcServe, StorVault, Veeam) and ensure data protection.
Maintain LAN and WAN infrastructure, including cabling, switching (DELL), and Firewall management (SonicWALL & FortiGate).
Configure and maintain wireless technologies (Ruckus) for optimal connectivity.
Provide support for third-party software applications (Quotewerks, GP, etc.).
Demonstrate expertise in Microsoft 365 Suite and Azure administration and management.
Establish secure baselines for workstations and servers.
Utilize N-Central Network Monitoring Suite for remote assistance, patch management, and antivirus management.
Manage Intune and device enrolment for effective device management.
Ensure network devices and servers are regularly patched and updated.
Manage Mimecast Email Filtering service.
Administer TP/VC equipment in the boardroom.
Conduct end-user information security training (KnowBe4).
Handle incident management, problem management, service requests, and change management.
Possess advantageous certifications such as CCNA and relevant Security certification
