Ensure step 0 conformance to achieve CpK <1.33.Support the lab in maintaining effective control of test methods (Gage R&R) and equipment (MSA) through application of relevant quality tools.Assist in investigating customer complaints, write up complaint reports, and determine RCA.Investigate alternative or develop new testing methods to keep improving testing techniques and streamline efficiency.Develop and compile standard safe operating procedure manuals for testing equipment.Assist with stock control for all chemicals and consumables in the laboratory.Is this job for you?An ideal candidate must have a Diploma/Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Material Sciences. You should have successfully completed an Internship at the Saint-Gobain sites, or alternatively have worked at least 3 years in a laboratory environment. Exposure to WCM/Continuous improvement/Six Sigma experience and ISO/lab management experience/certifications advantageous.Good technical report writing and experience with Minitab/Design Expert/Statistical software will set you apart. Gage R&R, MSA, SPC, and DoE experience ideal.To make sure nothing is forgottenTesting of raw materials, products and performing in process inspections and customer complaint investigations. The purpose of doing so would be to ensure that the business has accurate information to make decisions around product innovations, raw material purchasing, and production processing as well as long-term supply of main raw materials. Develop and introduce quality control and laboratory/process improvements using the tools available within the QPC pillar, linking through step 0 of WCM (World Class Manufacturing). A primary objective would be to improve the production KPIs through improvement in process capability. Participates in WCM projects in the plant linking to product quality and cover for the Process Engineer as and when required.
