One of our pathology diagnostic clients are in need of an experienced and registered Laboratory Animal Technologist for their Johannesburg team.Qualifications and experience:NQF 6 or higher - Animal Health qualificationSA Veterinary Council registration as a Laboratory Animal TechnologistAffiliated with Institute of Animal TechnologyNo less than 2 years' experience as a Lab Animal TechnologistKnowledge of scientific proceduresKnowledge of lab animal breeding systemsKnowledge of Good Lab practiceKnowledge of SPF barrier unitsKnowledge of how to administer and withdraw fluids on lab animalsComputer literateGreat track recordKey skills:AdministrationSupervisionCommunicationKey performance areas:2IC Supervisor in case of absenceDraft and maintain SOP'sAnimal research aligned with SAVCMonitor environment parametersMaintain health status of animalsPerform scientific testingDrive safety an QC of anti-venom productsSupervise animal breeding
