Job Description


:

  • Ensure conformance to Global Contamination Control for Powertrain.
  • Attend all meeting's laid out for the Met-Lab Technician.
  • Deliver on assignments on time that are assigned during these meeting.
  • Implement new standards which are issued.
  • Confirm and maintain current standards that are in place.
  • Ensure team members are always adhering to all the standards.
  • Support issues raised by the teams.
  • Investigate quality issues and compile reports (e.g. PIC room, etc.)
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Understand and implement Engineering cleanliness changes & processes.
  • Maintain Control Plan, OIS/ WES and related documentation.
  • Responsible for Quality Equipment of related processes in area
  • Develop laboratory worksheets on routine testing to enable efficient testing in accordance with test objectives, work program and timeframe outlined in quotes/proposals, and in accordance with the quality standards required.
  • Monitoring the amount of residual contamination on the surface of parts and products.
  • Generate reports and distribute to team.
  • Support Process Engineers to complete Six Sigma projects.
  • Provide lessons learned feedback to prevent reoccurrence Quality issues in Zone
  • Understand Part Quality issues and investigate variation.
  • Extraction of the particles from the surface of the part
  • Determining the mass of the collected particles
  • Determine inspection requirements/standard and calibration of equipment.
  • Maintain administrative Housekeeping on QIS/QLS/QCM/Versatility matrix to Global standards.
  • Ensure there is alignment between base inspection with downstream.
  • Train members on new models.
  • Timeously manage Quality documentation and Met-lab graphs.
Responsibilities:
  • Roll out and implementation of new work procedures.
  • Compliance to the Control Plan.
  • Good knowledge of Mead-Lab procedures
  • Meet the Daily contamination test schedule.
  • Ensure all equipment are calibrated as per schedule.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • PC literacy, MS Office Excel, Word.
  • Understand requirements of the role as per above
  • Good understanding of process engineering tools
  • Leadership skills
  • Teamwork skills
Qualifications:
  • National Diploma in Quality/Production Management or equivalent.
  • Trade certificate and N6 qualification.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years, Manufacturing, experience preferably in an automotive industry.
