SUMMARY:
Exciting Opportunity for an EXPERIENCED, CHEMICALLY ORIENTATED Laboratory Manager in the FMCG Industry with extensive knowledge of HPLC, GC, ICP and NIR instrumentation.POSITION INFO:Qualifications & Experience:
- BSc Honours Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Food Sciences
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a managerial capacity within a laboratory
- At least 3 years of experience in an
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO, and FSSC standards
- Experience with laboratory instruments (GC, ICP, NIR, Lovibond, Spectrophotometer, HPLC-GC-MS)
- Manage and maintain ISO Laboratory Management Systems (ISO 17025)
- Ensure proper calibration and verification of laboratory instruments
- Conduct monthly safety checks and handle special COA requests
- Oversee test results, product information, and handle method validation
- Investigate and report on questionable test results
- Assist with research projects and conduct test studies
- Participate in internal assessments and audits
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO, and FSSC standards
- Interpret data and write comprehensive reports
- Assist with training laboratory staff and verifying training effectiveness
- Manage laboratory budgets and purchase consumables
- Prepare and handle samples as per External Analysis Schedules.
