Job SummaryDescription:Are you a highly motivated individual with experience in the food manufacturing sector? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Hire Resolve is currently seeking a Laboratory Manager in the food manufacturing industry to join their client's dynamic team in Gauteng.Responsibilities:As a Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Oversee all laboratory operations, including testing procedures, equipment maintenance, and quality control measures
• Manage a team of laboratory technicians, providing training and guidance as needed
• Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of all testing results
• Monitor and maintain compliance with company and industry standards, including HACCP and GMP regulations
• Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to address any issues or concerns related to laboratory testing
• Maintain accurate records of all testing procedures and results, ensuring traceability and documentation of all findings
• Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment, ordering as needed and maintaining stock levels
• Stay informed of industry trends and advancements in laboratory technology, implementing new processes and procedures as needed
• Participate in audits and inspections, providing documentation and supporting evidence as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, chemistry, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing, with a focus on laboratory management
• Strong knowledge of food safety and quality assurance standards, including HACCP and GMP regulations
• Experience managing a team of laboratory technicians, providing training and guidance as needed
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and laboratory software applications
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality control
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Certification in laboratory management or related field is a plus
