Lead Designer - Century City, WCFull job descriptionRole overview:The Lead designer role is accountable to lead the in xe2x80x93 house design function to deliver effective design solutions across projects, platforms and communication channels. And includes all aspects of the design process from ideation to creative concept to execution, including managing timelines and resources. A core part of this role is the leadership of a team of designers, building and nurturing talent within a multi-skilled team.Key competencies and areas of responsibility:Creative direction and Design ExecutionDevelop and lead the concept and execution of work, from brief to high quality work across video and static formatsMaintain alignment of all work to Brand identity, updating and maintaining toolkits and design guidelines across platforms to achieve brand consistencyExceptional standards of the design craft, with the attitude and desire to achieve beautifully crafted pieces of workExceptional time and project management skills, with the attitude and expertise to juggle multiple deliverables within a fast paced environment across 2 brandsOrganized with high attention to detailLeadershipLead and mentor a team of designers to deliver, providing guidance and supportHigh interest in developing new talent and teams, and a desire to build something new from the ground upCross functional team collaborationStrong communication and high levels of EQ, to achieve strong engagement and ways of working within the marketing team and the wider businessMeasures of success include:New customer ConversionBrand EngagementSupport Brand, Acquisition and Customer value pillars.Qualifications and experience:Degree or Diploma in graphic design, visual arts or related design competencies10 + years design experience, with a strong portfolio of work showcasing design expertise across platforms including digital media, social media content, print or other5+ years managing an inhouse or agency team of multi xe2x80x93 skilled designers, using tools such as Trello or Asana to manage projectsProficiency in design software including Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, XD, Photoshop, Indesign, After Effects, Media Encoder, Dreamweaver, Figma or other graphic design tools
