A leading banking client is looking for a Lead Technical Developer to join their team. In this role, you will be the custodian of technical thought leadership within the Group Technology (GT) environment. Your primary responsibilities will include offering expertise, guidance, and advice on integrating solutions across various technologies and supporting processes. This position ensures GT delivers sustainable, high-quality solutions aligned with the Bankxe2x80x99s overall strategy while fostering the growth of technical expertise within the organization.Key Responsibilities

• Develop a competitive edge by consulting and advising on systems, processes, frameworks, and products aligned with the companyxe2x80x99s strategy.
• Ensure design delivery through consultation, stakeholder identification, and collaboration.
• Hold GT accountable for all technical deliverables.
• Guide and support executive management in technology discussions to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Upskill stakeholders on technical designs and mentor all technical roles.
• Secure buy-in from sponsors and executives by presenting at executive meetings.
• Direct, facilitate, participate, and contribute to technical forums.
• Ensure the test strategy covers the full end-to-end technology stack, including non-functional requirements, through consultation and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Advocate for best practice software development methodologies and identify bottlenecks in the application development process.
• Identify potential conflicts across deliverables and technologies, recommending suitable solutions.
• Mitigate risks by identifying and raising concerns on deliverables and strategies and proposing solutions.
• Contribute to the journey of proving and productionalizing emerging technologies.
• Participate in high-impact problem resolution, offering expert guidance and solutions on technical issues.
• Shape the enterprise architecture roadmap by consulting, identifying, and collaborating with stakeholders, ensuring a smooth transition to future operations.
• Conduct independent research on technology best practices.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and upskilling within the area of expertise.
• Support the achievement of business strategy, objectives, and values.

Minimum Requirements

• +12 years' experience in any of the following languages: Java, C#, Golang, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular, and SQL.
• Skilled in platform development using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in cloud computing environments, particularly Azure or AWS.
• Expertise in low-level programming, with a strong ability to resolve memory and performance issues.
• Solid understanding of operating system principles and basic IT security.
• Extensive experience with database technologies such as Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, DB2, MS SQL, and Oracle.
