Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:




Planning, designing, implementing and facilitating instructor-led learning sessions, such as on-demand training, performance improvement, performance development, and engagement activities Designing, implementing and facilitating programmes to enhance the leadership skills and capabilities of public representatives, staff members and development participants within the DA Coordinating functions, projects and programmes that support the DA as a learning organisation, the continuous development and improvement of DA people, and attracting new talent to the organisation through targeted campaigns and programmes Implementing, sustaining, and ensuring the quality of training courses that have been created and designed Creating and updating leadership development programme content

Minimum requirements:




A tertiary qualification Computer literacy, particularly MS Office Suite, Zoom and Asana 2 years' experience in training and development, education, facilitation or a related environment Experience with online training and systems (advantageous) Experience with the design and facilitation of online and in-person programmes (advantageous) Use of online learning platforms and content design programmes (e.g. Moodle, Articulate 360) (advantageous) Experience in a liberal political party or associated environment (advantageous) Driver's licence Access to a vehicle for occasional use

Integration between technical processes and systems Application of adult learning principles and interactive training methodologies Use initiative and work well in high-pressure situations Be outcomes-orientated, not simply task-orientated Work independently Apply sound judgement

Knowledge and commitment:




Facilitation and training methodologies and best practices Liberal philosophy Commitment to the principles, policies and programme of action of the Democratic Alliance * Willingness to go the extra mile, which may include working long and irregular hours, weekends, and public holidays where necessary
