The Department of Economics strives to be a leading academic department that


exemplifies excellence and innovation in the discipline by shifting towards a more


quantitative curriculum and more research output. We are therefore looking for


qualified academic who can contribute immensely to these ambitions. Accordingly,


applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for appointment to the following


position:

Requirements:

A master's degree in economics Experience of one year in teaching or tutoring Economics with focus on
quantitative courses such as Mathematical Economics, Statistics for


Economics and or Econometrics.


Demonstrate interest in econometric analysis. Ability to work in a team context.

Duties:

Lecture and supervise at postgraduate (Honours) level. Contribute to the research environment within the department's research
profile.


Participate in department's research and third-stream activities. Participate in and perform designated community engagement duties.
