Teaching Method of Mathematics to Foundation Phase students
Teaching Theories of Education to undergraduate students
Have a sound knowledge of teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
Ability to teach the Method of FP Mathematics in English and isiXhosa.
Teaching Theories of Education to diverse cohort of undergraduate students.
Ability to develop teaching resources for the Method of FP Mathematics.
Should be able to develop curriculum.
Conducting scholarly work with an increasing focus on Africanization and Decolonization of the curriculum in the Foundation Phase.
Be able to supervise postgraduate students.
REQUIREMENTS
A relevant Masters (M Ed degree or MA in Mathematics), and undergraduate Foundation Phase qualification.
A two-year experience of teaching Foundation Phase Mathematics.
Sound disciplinary and content knowledge in Foundation Phase Mathematics.
Sound disciplinary and content knowledge in Theories of Education.
Sound knowledge of various techniques for teaching Foundation Phase Mathematics.
