Department of Community Health StudiesLecturer Position : Permanent Position Ref : B102Minimum Requirements
- A Masters Degree in Environmental Health / Public Health/ Environmental Management
- Minimum of 3 years' lecturing experience in Higher Education
- Current and active registration with the Health Professions Council of SA (HPCSA)
- Teaching and record of research publications in accredited journals would be a strong recommendation
- Preference will be given to applicants who are registered for a PhD
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the Environmental / Public Health or Environmental Management field
- Teach undergraduate courses in Environmental Health.
- Demonstrate leadership in teaching, research and community service.
- Take an active part in the supervision and assessment of undergraduate students' research projects
- Supervise post-graduate students
- Contribute to research by publishing articles and book chapters
- Serve in committees within the University and external professional organisations
- Engage in community engagement and outreach.
- Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department
