Lecturer: Producing (JB4047)

Market Related
Involved in high quality teaching and research activities for the Audio-Visual department, particularly in the overarching delivery and development of assigned subjects (Producing across degree, diploma and higher certificate programmes). Lecturing activities are held to the guidelines as set out by the assessment handbook, quality control council standards and teaching and learning guide of the institution (including updates and amendments). The post holder will also participate in wider activities
Requirements:
Honours Degree in Film or related field
Completed or involved in NQF Level 9 study
4-5 years industry experience
2-3 years relevant lecturing experience
Experience and knowledge of production for feature films, television, documentary and advertising including budgeting, scheduling, financing, distribution and marketing, legal frameworks.
Active involvement in or connections to Cape Town And SA Film industry
Duties and responsibilities:
Lecturing on producing 1,2 and 3
Content development
Teaching and learning
Setting, moderation and marking of assessments
Research
Coordination and supervision of student productions
