Duties/Pligte

Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across the lifespan;
Clinical supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students;
Active involvement in the development of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching modules;
Research supervision in the focus areas of the Division and Faculty;
Participating in the teaching, research and community activities, as well as projects of the Division, Department and Faculty;
Publication of research;
Academic administration and management;
Clinical service provision and consultation in relevant clinical areas.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes

Master's-level qualification in Occupational Therapy;
Registrable with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as an occupational therapist;
Proven experience in university teaching, or supervision of students in the clinical setting and/or in research (undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate);
The ability to communicate in more than one official South African language.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling

A PhD, or preparation for a PhD in/or related to the field of Occupational Therapy will be advantageous Relevant experience in teaching and learning;
Research experience and a good knowledge of research methodology;
Publication in subsidy-bearing academic journals or books.
