• Masters degree in Public Administration.
• Three years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution or five years of professional experience in the relevant field.
• Knowledge of Business Information Systems and Extensive teaching experience at the Grade 12 level will be an added advantage.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education or Teaching experience in Foundation programme will be an added advantage.

Junior Lecturer

• Honours degree in Public Administration.
• Knowledge of Business Information Systems.
• Teaching experience at Grade 12 will be an added advantage.

Duties:

• Ensure that the programme taught complies with required academic and other standards by selecting prescribed books, compiling lecture notes, study guides and practical manuals for students.
• Teaches in accordance with the requirements of the syllabus by presenting lectures and tutorials, monitoring activities of tutors and mentoring students.
• Assist in evaluating students' academic progress by preparing, assigning, invigilating, and marking tests, examinations, projects and essays.
• Enhance the knowledge and skills in own field to benefit the university, students and/or staff by collaborating in research projects, conducting own research, attending conferences/symposia, publishing/presenting research papers and developing links with other academics locally and internationally.
• Contribute to departmental administration by assisting with registration and selection of students.
• Participating in the University of Venda community development programme by preparing project proposals, leading/conducting approved projects, and participating in outside development projects.

Personal Skills

• Excellent teaching and presentation skills with the ability to enthuse listeners.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills with ability to deal face-to-face, via telephone and email with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, and cultures.
