National Diploma Mechanical Engineer
3 Years’ experience  on 3D measuring equipment used in automotive industry/ component supplier
Tutor for 3D measuring
PCDMIS
SPC lights
IGES
VDA
CAD files
Quality management systems
Strong automotive experience
Main job purpose: 
To control and monitor the receiving inspection function for all incoming components and to ensure that all Inspection, Measuring and Testing of equipment is calibrated and verified according to Customer requirements and specifications so to maintain an effective measurement system and
Main Objective
Develop and maintain an effective Checking Fixture Verification Programme with the use of the 3D Measuring Machine.
Ensure all Inspection, Measuring and Test Equipment and Checking Fixtures are clearly identified and calibrated as per schedule.
Gauge R&R studies to investigate the Measurement System error and gauge suitability for process.
Analyse drawings, write programmes and measure samples (where data is available) for source approval on the 3D Measuring Machine.
Perform Capability Studies with the use of dedicated SPC Software on the 3D Measuring Machine.
To ensure subordinates are effectively managed and held accountable through laid down policies and procedures.
Manage the receiving inspection function to ensure incoming components comply to customer requirements.
Ensure gauge control is effective within the plant.
To provide a calibration service that provides gauges that are in an adequate condition for their function to provide accurate and precise measurements to ensure that the output being monitored is produced at the specification required.
Ensure effective communication of relevant information to all stakeholders to support effective decision making for the business.
