LLB degree and admitted legal practitioner non-practicing.
Knowledge of company and related legislation.
Minimum of 2 years of legal experience after admission.
Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English.
Excellent ability to pay close attention to detail, effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and perform under pressure
Role and responsibilities:
Company documentation and secretarial work
Capturing of data
Handling all statutory matters
Taking minutes and updating accordingly
Issuing or cancelling of shares in companies and the drafting of all related contracts.
Checking of companies' respective MOIs Memorandum of Incorporation.
Submission of annual CIPC returns.
Compliance with NCA requirements and annual renewals.
Collection and maintenance of FICA information from Directors and shareholders.
Handling all corporate governance matters.
Updating and improving template documents.
Maintaining minute books, reviewing trust deeds, registration, amendment, and deregistration of trusts at the Master's Office, organizing meetings.
Compliance: General legislative and regulatory compliance for the company and clients, including, but not limited to, POPIA, FICA, the Companies Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
Drafting of internal and staff contracts.
Development of employee policies.
Provision of legal and works as required by the employer, including research and risk assessment.
Communication with clients, lawyers, government agencies, etc.
Handling of litigation matters:
Assignments to external lawyers for the initiation or defense of legal proceedings on behalf of the company, and supervision of the litigation process.
