Job Description
RPO Recruitment's client is looking for a Legal Advisor to join their team in Paarl, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will provide legal, compliance, and corporate governance support, ensuring regulatory adherence and mitigating legal risks.Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on corporate and commercial matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various legal agreements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including statutory filings.
- Oversee litigation processes and collaborate with external counsel.
- Support board meeting planning, agenda preparation, and document circulation.
- Keep abreast of relevant legal and governance updates.
- LLB degree and admitted legal practitioner.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in corporate and commercial law.
- Strong knowledge of governance frameworks (Companies Act, Consumer Protection Act, King IV, JSE regulations).
- Experience in compliance, corporate secretarial work, and regulatory submissions.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
