JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provide effective and efficient legal support to the Head: Office of the Commission and Chairperson, as and when requested.
  • Conduct proper risks analysis and identify triggering factors towards potential legal risks within all Divisions
  • Review and provide legal advice as and when requested by the Head: Office of the Commission and Chairperson.
  • Develop and maintain an institutional repository of all written legal advice and opinions
  • Draft legal agreements and contracts.
  • Vett all legal agreements and contracts.
  • Develop templates for all Divisions.
  • Ensure that all contracts and legal documents reviewed or prepared are devoid of omissions and company interests are protected.
  • Develop a functional record keeping system for Divisions.
  • Develop and implement Record Management and File Plan
  • Policy.
  • Ensure the promotion and practice of good corporate governance.
  • Ensure that the company operations support the attainment of its strategic objectives
  • Provide a standardised checklist controlled through the Quality Management System to enhance regulatory compliance
JOB REQUIREMENTSQualification
  • Law Degree
Experience
  • At least two years legal experience, ideally in a Public sector organisation.
  • Proven track record of providing effective legal advice.
  • Proven track record in contract drafting and vetting.
