Job Summary Our client in the telecommunication industry is looking for a Legal Contract Specialist who will be responsible for delivering legal and compliance advice to the legal team. To support the legal team with: Vetting, drafting, negotiation and renewal of property leases, access agreements, site sharing agreements with third parties and any other agreements that the company may be required to enter into from time to time All queries received from the various departments at the company. Be proactive in their engagement with internal company personnel; and dispute resolutions and litigation matters. 12-month contract LLB Degree Completed articles with no PQE o PQE of no more than 2 years Support the internal legal team Day-to-day responsibility for providing accurate, effective and timely legal advice, analysis, and support on commercial and contractual matters relating to the company, with a specific focus on property lease and site sharing negotiations, renewals, and dispute Drafting legal agreements as required by the company Research and drafting legal opinions Keep the company's business stakeholders updated and briefed on major negotiations, disputes and/or, changes in property law in South Africa that impact the company Be an active member of the company legal team Keep the legal team abreast of legal matters and write reports to them from time to time Highly developed research skills Capable of negotiating and resolving commercial transactions and disputes Providing legal advice to the legal team Highly developed oratory skills Developed decision making and interpersonal skills Team player with strong negotiating/persuading skills Analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to collaborate with the business and external stakeholders Customer focus Ability to understand trade-offs or balance between business risk and legal considerations External perspective i.e. anticipates market changes and recommend viable solutionsTalentCruRecruiter
