Legal Professiona - SandtonFull job descriptionRoles and Responsibilities:Collecting, recording, analysing and organising necessary data in respect of all matters in the debtors book, including and especially litigious matters, for all attorneys.Meet with administrators of buildings frequently to guide, assist and support in the roll-out of agreed rehabilitation plans and action lists.Convening internal briefing sessions to finalise instructions to attorneys and counsel in respect of all matters.Deliberate on the out-of-the-box strategic thinking to solve complicated problems in levy, loan and other collection environments.Consider and report on the recoverability of debtors.Assess the performance of service providers and administrators.Report on results in relation to the business plan.Draft and implement relevant protocols and processes.Assess risk and compliance on an ongoing basis in terms of recoverability of loans and levy debts. Develop and implement mitigation plans.Obtain source documents on request, prepare to-do lists for team members assisting in particular cases, and draft reports of investigations, and prepare detailed business plans for resolution of levy, loan and other collection problems, and present to management.Research questions of law where required and draft memos on them.Provide ad hoc advice to the Group.Draft / review / amend all summonses, pleadings, affidavits, and other legal documents such as commercial and other related agreements.Provide evidence in court, or via affidavit for any inspections or reports compiled for collection purposes.Generally, attend legal meetings, forums and seminars, settlement negotiations and internal management meetings from time to time with various stakeholders.Compose, type, and distribute meeting notes, minutes, routine correspondence, inspection reports, and business plans.Maintain scheduling and event calendars in accordance with set protocol - set reminders for important dates and follow up with relevant personnel and external service providers;Record performance related information in a Performance log-book and distribute to relevant personnel;EducationMinimum requirement of a BCom LLB.ExperienceMinimum 3 years working within a banking or corporate legal environment.SkillsPrioritisation;Time management;Excellent English communication verbal and written;Self-motivated;Able to use and apply sound judgement and decision making as permitted;Exceptional attention to detail.Full MS Office suite at intermediate level.Job Type: Full-timePay: Up to R25 000,00 per monthApplication Question(s):What is your highest qualification?Education:Bachelors (Required)Experience:working within a banking or corporate legal environment: 3 years (Required)Application Deadline: 2024/05/19
