The Bible Society of South Africa NPC (BSSA) has been translating, publishing and distributing Bibles in South Africa since 1820. The Bible Society of South Africas mission is to provide affordable Bibles for everyone, in their own language and in suitable formats, so that all may experience the life-giving message of the Word.This position is ideal for an experienced librarian with a passion for information and research. The incumbent will be responsible for the preservation, collection, processing and provision of materials and information relating to all aspects of the activities of the BSSA and the Bible. The incumbent also assists with various research initiatives, collating data and reporting on findings.Key Performance Areas:

• The indexing and storage of material
• Maintaining of current collections monographs, magazines and other media
• Provide information to users and researchers and answering queries as efficiently and quickly as possible
• Effective recordkeeping system
• Update and maintain BSSAs IP on the UBS Global Bible Catalogue
• Assist with research initiatives, data compilation and archiving
• Detailed and accurate reporting and administration

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• At least 2-5 years experience working as a Librarian, preferably in a specialised library or research library
• Experience with research projects will be advantageous
• Computer literate (MS Office and Outlook) and library software
