Co-ordinates requirements and executes responsibilities associated with the monitoring and supporting formal and informal businesses within eThekwini Municipal area.This post reports to CHIEF LICENCE INSPECTORKey Responsibility Areas

• Conducts field inspections and investigations of licensable businesses.
• Provides support to new and non-compliant licensable businesses.
• Enforces licensing legislation and municipal bylaws.
• Co-ordinates the liquor application and inspection processes.
• Co-ordinates and lead Multi-Disciplinary task team operations.
• Attends to court and licensing tribunals.
• Executes requirements associated with the maintenance of relationships betweenstakeholders, internal and external departments and formal businesses.

Essential Requirements

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent and a Law Enforcement certificate.
• Peace Officer certificate to be obtained within 6 months of the assumption of duty.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• 3 Years relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements

• Diploma (NQF Level 6) or equivalent in Law Enforcement.
• 4 Years relevant experience.

Special Conditions:

• The incumbent will be regularly required to work outside of normal office hours.
• The incumbent will at times be required to work time.
• The incumbent will be required to work within the entire eThekwini area.
