Oversee the daily operations of the store and ensure smooth and effective running. Maintain constant and effective contact with customers and staff and ensure great customer experiences and monitor the financial performance of the store.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.
Reviewing GP reports and determining promotions to drive sales.
Conducts analysis on stock take, ranking and sales reports
Checks and authorizes invoices and timesheets; conduct daily analysis of spreadsheets
Oversees the store's profitability by ensuring increased sales, GP's are achieved and sales targets are met.
STAFF MANAGEMENT
Maintains store staff by training and guiding employees.
Maintains operations by maintaining company policies and procedures.
Contributes to team effort by motivating and driving high morale for efficient staff
CUSTOMERS
Identify your customer base and determine products that are in demand.
STOCK
Complete management of stock control; determine quantities for purchasing, negotiate on pricing. Ensure stock levels are maintained and are at optimum levels. Ensure that no expired stock is on hand,
Ensures availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts; maintaining inventories.
Ensure best deals are acquired for promotions to attain profitability.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
Competencies

Experience
A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a managerial position in a retail environment.
Computer proficient
Experience in the liquor retail environment will be advantageous.
Qualification
A qualification in Business Management/Administration will be advantageous.
