The live account executive is responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of retail advertising campaigns, with a particular focus on the development of product-and-price advertising collateral.
The successful candidate will liaise closely with agency brand stakeholders and drive a positive, proactive and collaborative relationship with the client.
Responsibilities
Client relationship management
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Understand client advertising objectives and requirements
Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates and addressing their needs
Briefing and project management
Gather detailed client briefs and, in collaboration with the Head of DTP, interrogate and translate them into actionable briefs for the DTP studio, production or finished art departments
Manage project timelines to ensure deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
Review creative deliverables to ensure alignment with client expectations and brand guidelines
Draft timely and effective job briefs and amendments to support the DTP team
Monitor and follow up on all outstanding briefs and debriefs from clients
Ensure all briefs are approved upfront, and that all internal and external checks and approvals are completed before the handover of the final artwork
Communication and collaboration
Collaborate with internal teams across departments, including creative, production, QA, DTP, traffic and finished art
Provide timely project status updates to both clients and internal stakeholders
Foster a positive, inclusive and collaborative work environment
Participate in all relevant status meetings, team check-ins and handover sessions
Schedule and arrange meetings with all relevant stakeholders, including the Head of DTP
Ensure both you and your team are well-prepared for client meetings
Act as a supporting point of contact for clients in the absence of other team members
Attention to detail
Ensure accuracy and consistency across all deliverables
Maintain a strong focus on deadlines, specifications and client expectations
Proofread and edit materials before sending to clients
Problem-solving and adaptability
Identify and resolve issues during campaign execution
Escalate concerns that require senior intervention promptly
Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and changing demands
Additional responsibilities
Maintain and update status reports, ensuring clarity on the progress of each campaign element
Provide regular progress updates to clients and internal teams
Keep accurate records of client communications, including meeting notes, emails, messages and calls
Ensure all DTP work is accurate and delivered within deadlines
Oversee the DTP process to ensure the final output aligns with the brief and is delivered on time
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in marketing, advertising or a related field
Experience
Two to three years' experience in a similar client service role within advertising or a related industry
Desired skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with Workbook and/or RMS (advantageous)
Proactive work ethic and strong problem-solving ability
