You will manage inventory of parts for the supply and support of Axis Mining Technology products, including planning, monitoring, and maintaining stock levels.What you will be doingAs the Logistics and Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with all OH&S policies and procedures and actively working to improve safety in the workplace
  • Generating, reviewing, and maintaining Enablon Reporting System requirements and submissions
  • Championing GPSA safety initiatives and conducting safety inductions for visitors and new employees
  • Placing parts and customer hardware purchase orders to GPTG
  • Kitting sales orders for consumption of parts by Axis Mining Technology
  • Coordinating and controlling stock and movement of parts from GPTG to GPSA and maintaining satellite warehouses in the DRC, Ghana, and other identified sites
  • Performing inventory and logistics management in all GPSA warehouses, including Johannesburg, Accra, Lubumbashi, and Gaborone
  • Procuring parts and materials in accordance with the operations plan
  • Coordinating with customers, suppliers, and service providers for reduced lead time and greater cost efficiencies
  • Receiving and dispatching goods and rotational items to GPSA customers
  • Performing accurate data entry to the inventory system for visible asset management
  • Managing customer support response, including 24/7 telephone support and 12-hour business day support
  • Conducting satellite store visits and maintaining communication with GPSA employees and customers to evaluate quality of parts provision
  • Planning and performing annual inventory and safety audits
What you will bring
  • Must have a current manual RSA driver's license
  • National Diploma in Electrical and ICT Engineering (highly desirable)
  • Certificate in Logistics/Supply Chain Management
  • Recognized safety-related courses (e.g., Basic Fire Fighting, First Aid, Incident Investigation)
  • Inventory management capabilities
  • Supplier management and logistics capability
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
  • Spare parts asset management
  • Stores coordination and maintenance experience
  • Understanding of accounting and control principles
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly motivated, able to set priorities, meet deadlines, and be a strong team player
  • Attention to detail and effective time management
