Job Description

Our client, a leader in logistics solutions, is seeking a highly organised Bulk and Cooltruck Logistics Coordinator to join their team. This role is responsible for the administration and coordination of the Logistics Bulk and Cooltruck Department, ensuring smooth transportation, timely deliveries, and strong relationships with transport providers.Key Responsibilities:

• Arrange transportation for goods, selecting appropriate carriers and negotiating rates.
• Coordinate the loading and unloading of goods.
• Build and manage relationships with truck drivers.
• Track delivery timelines and address potential delays or disruptions.
• Expand the transporter network and ensure GIT insurance is in place.
• Compile transport contracts using standard templates.
• Monitor truck locations to determine accurate ETAs and update clients accordingly.
• Perform daily administration tasks, including data entry, reconciliation of PODs, and loading weights.
• Collect and manage PODs.
• Handle queries from clients, transporters, and suppliers.
• Maintain after-hours contact with relevant parties, 7 days a week.

Requirements:

• A tertiary qualification in Logistics is advantageous.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role is beneficial.
• Strong ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
• Sound knowledge of the transport market.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong planning and organisational abilities.
• Exceptional communication skills, including professional email etiquette and proficiency in MS Outlook.
• A team player with excellent attention to detail.
• Willingness to be available after office hours for queries and problem-solving.

Working Hours & Benefits:

• Office hours: 08:00 17:00
• Work every second weekend
