Job Description
We require a junior Logistics Coordinator for a freight forwarding company in the Somerset West area.Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Shipping, International Trade etc.
- Previous experience in freight forwarding / agriculture
- Computer literate
- Manage the operational procedures involved with the forecasting, co-ordination, scheduling, transport & shipment of perishables to Europe, Mediterranean, Russia & Baltic for container and conventional.
- Manage deviations and implement corrective action.
- Manage internal & external communication / information requirements.
- Responsible for the shipment of over 2000 containers
- Communicate with suppliers and clients on deviations
- Manage internal functions
- Coordinate workflow
- Manage supplier relationships
- Manage bookings, loadouts and instructions
- Manage inspections and vessel tracking
- Process invoices
