Logistics Manager - Automotive manufacturingEast London xe2x80x93 Eastern CapeOur client in the manufacturing industry requires and experienced Logistics Manager to organise logistical activities and workforce. Train, motivate, coach and lead employees. Control performance results. Lead the logistics operations to ensure optimum logistic performance with the highest customer satisfaction. Implement guidelines and procedures to ensure uniform operations in all logistical areas. Identify key performance indicators and introduce methods to monitor and improve short comings of the team.DutiesIdentify, introduce and monitor key performance indicators.Ensure the highest customer satisfactionCompile, implement and maintain procedures to ensure uniform operationsEnsure optimum logistical performanceReport daily/ weekly/ monthly on the status of the Logistics Department performance.Compile the financial and capex budgets for LogisticsManage and monitor departmental expenses against budgetCreate a performance driven culture through reward and recognition for excellencyAbility to develop, retain and influence high performance teams / individualsMinimum requirements:3years Degree in Supply Chain Management/ Purchasing/ Business AdministrationMinimum 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in supply chain/ logistics environmentMinimum 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience with MPS/ MRP (SAP)Minimum 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in an Automotive manufacturing environmentSound knowledge of SAP/ MRPSound knowledge of layout & efficiency improvementsKnowledge and understanding of production processesKnowledge and understanding of supply and chain functionsSound knowledge of Excel and PowerPointKnowledge of and abilities to execute performance management processesSound knowledge of IR and grievance procedures.
